Planning a Painting

"Remi"
Preliminary sketching is very important in the beginning stages of a painting!
Over the years I have learned how essential that good planning before painting can produce great results. This became evident when I was learning to paint in watercolors from my teacher, Larry Casso. He planned all of his works this way and was a true master painter! I was 51 years old when I began taking lessons from Larry and discovered how to do things properly. Who says you can't teach an old dog a new trick?
In conclusion I am so thankful to have found that no matter how old you are you can still learn new techniques that can drastically improve your ability no matter what field you are in. What are you waiting for?
This blog is dedicated to the memory Larry Casso.
